Alpine Valley Mushrooms is a family-owned, certified organic mushroom farm that uses local Colorado grains to grow their mushrooms. The Berreth family is devoted to supporting organic farmers to strengthen our soil food web as well as the health of our ecosystems. Through standards in place and collaboration with other certified organic farmers, they’re able to grow the highest quality and most localized mushrooms possible! One of their mantras is “You are what your mushrooms eat,” hence why they only feed their mushrooms organic substrates that lead to high quality fruiting bodies free from heavy metals and any potential biocides or synthetic chemicals that could be present.
