Outdoor Mushroom Inoculation Service

$120.00

Have you ever wanted to grow mushrooms outside at your own home!? Something we are incredibly passionate about is helping you make that happen! With our regional native oyster species that we’ve cloned out along with some other healthy oyster strains, we can inoculate an outdoor area of about 5×5 feet for you to enjoy seeing mushrooms grow in your very own yard. Prepare to harvest mushrooms daily to weekly until the mycelium has eaten all its food (mulch). We are typically able to find a mushroom friendly micro-climate in any yard fairly easily. As long as the instructions we give you are followed correctly, once the mycelium is colonized (roughly 30 days after inoculation) you will begin to see patches of oyster mushrooms growing which you can then harvest at your own discretion. Watering, shade, and heavy mulch is imperative for a strong and happy mushroom patch. If there is no usable organic matter and mulch on site, we can bring in what is needed to grow the patch. We will need to be in contact before the inoculation to establish what all will be needed, so we will reach out via email when we see you have purchased a spot.

Inoculation time will take roughly an hour per site and we will provide all the spawn and mulch necessary for the area. We will only be offering this service in the early Springtime, before June. We have had incredible success from Buena Vista down to New Mexico with outdoor mushroom inoculations. We hope to share this offering with you!

When signing up, please pay attention to the area you’ve selected. We will be doing 4 different dates (3/19, 3/29, 4/3, 4/10) for the those in the SLV and 1 date (4/24) for those in Chaffee County. We will reach out to you after sign up confirmation with two different times of the day to pick from for inoculation, on the date you’ve selected.

Please send us an email if we have sold out of dates to get on our waitlist as life is unpredictable and cancelations happen.
